Making Money on the Internet

Every time I hear someone talking about making money on the Internet, how to make easy it is, I automatically cringe. There are so many scams and ploys out there that promise to make you wealthy overnight. However the reality of it is that they won’t. However there are honest ways of making money on the internet. Things like affiliate advertising, referrals, and flat rate advertising.

Affiliate advertising is typically based on a pay-per-click basis. Meaning every time someone clicks on that ad you get paid so much money. Now some companies offer a commission in addition to your pay-per-click for everyone that signs up for whatever they are offering.

Referrals are where a company pays you so much for having people join or purchase whatever they are offering. Now this can be a percentage or a straight fee. This sort of advertising can take longer to break into as you have to market to people to get them to go to the company.

Flat rate advertising is where someone pays a flat fee to have their ad placed on your site. Now different types of ads can run different prices. For example a banner ad on the homepage of a site can be significantly more expensive than a text ad on another page such as a “Links” page.

Making money on the internet is possible. It’s just finding the way that works best for you given you lifestyle, time, and patience with the internet.
